    That’s damn impressive. And beautiful.

I’m impressed you seemingly threw that bike together and then took it out into the middle of nowhere for its maiden voyage. Something extra exciting about doing that, but I don’t know why.

    Nice job Heidi!

Oh and get rid of the elephant. The kid that owned it before always put it in his mouth (he even chewed off one of the tusks), and he had an incurable lip fungus.

Take it back, Erik! Elephanty saved my sanity so many times. Also, he’s a good camp guard.

Yeah, the risky remote maiden voyage thing isn’t necessarily recommended, but I had to do this trip. And I had to do it this way.

My “Make it up as I go along” approach to navigating and route planning was also a little sketch and got me into a few pinches. But i had to do it – and I had to do it that way!

I’m sunburned and tired and sore and delirious, but I wouldn’t change a thing.

Rang in at about 425 miles in 6 days, I think. Still figuring that out – Garmin wasn’t charged for all of it so I have to draw some online maps to see what I did.

Amazing is the only word out of my mouth, amazing photos and such amazing Grit from you to go off on such a journey!

PS, Where did you get the Native American dress? I have got to get it for my daughter!
